THE CHALLENGE

Adapting to Automation

The project was executed in two phases. The initial installation was designed to maximize energy efficiency and provide a robust, easily manageable lighting system. However, the second phase introduced a new challenge: the facility transitioned to driver-less forklifts. This required a system-wide adjustment to sensor timers to ensure seamless and safe operation in the newly automated environment.

The Solution: Seamless Remote Integration and Smart Control

Our solution centered on the intelligent capabilities of the B2L system. Key highlights include:

Effortless Remote Updates: When the second phase began, we were able to remotely send an updated Lina file to the customer, which they easily uploaded to the system. This eliminated the need for on-site commissioning, saving valuable time and resources.

Intelligent Row Control: In the narrow-row layout of the distribution center, we deployed a strategic mix of sensor-equipped and standard fixtures. Out of 20 fixtures per row, only 30% were equipped with B2L XXL sensors, which then intelligently controlled the remaining fixtures in the line.

Advanced Mesh Networking: A standout achievement was our ability to control fixtures in the mid-section, triggered by movement in adjacent rows, without any physical wiring. This was accomplished purely through the B2L mesh network, a feature our competitors could not offer, providing a cleaner, more efficient installation.

Rapid Installation: The integration of quick connectors into our TritonLED products dramatically reduced installation times, allowing the project to proceed ahead of schedule.
