AS Tours from Veternik, near Novi Sad, runs domestic and international coach transport. For its new repair and maintenance workshop, TritonLED delivered the lighting design and a complete LED fit-out built on Triton MAX.

THE CHALLENGE

The Challenge: Lighting Full-Length Coaches Without Shadows

AS Tours operates a fleet that ranges from minibuses to large touring coaches carrying up to 93 passengers. Keeping that fleet safe and road-ready called for its own workshop: three high-ceiling service bays of roughly 300 m² each, with inspection pits, wide sectional doors and racks for spare parts. The lighting had to meet four demands:

  • Uniform light along the full length and sides of each coach, so technicians can work on bodywork, engines and interiors without hunting for shadows
  • Reliable fixtures in a demanding environment — dust, oil mist, temperature swings and large doors opening all day
  • Robust, washable lighting for the service pits beneath the vehicles
  • Low energy use and minimal maintenance over long daily operating hours
THE SOLUTION

The Solution: Continuous Triton MAX Light Lines and IP69 Triproofs

Based on a DIALux lighting calculation, TritonLED laid out continuous rows of 2-metre Triton MAX fixtures along each bay, added high-CRI units for color-critical work and fitted IP69 Triumph triproofs where water and oil are part of the job.

  • Continuous MAX Light Lines: 63 Triton MAX TM20 fixtures (2 m, 118 W, 19,680 lm, 4000K) run in straight rows along the bays, giving even light over the coaches and the aisles between them.
  • High-CRI Zones: 14 MAX TM20 units with Ra90 and 6500K daylight color temperature for tasks where true color matters, such as paint and bodywork checks.
  • Wide 90° Optics: The wide beam spreads light down the sides of tall vehicles and between the pillars, reducing shadows on doors, wheel arches and engine bays.
  • IP69 Triumph Triproofs: 15 Triumph triproof luminaires (1.2 m, 40 W, 6,000 lm) cover the wettest and dirtiest spots, including the service pits — sealed against water jets, dust and oil.
  • Flicker-Free and Efficient: MAX LED modules reach up to 167 lm/W with flicker-free drivers, keeping energy costs low across long shifts.
  • Built for Easy Service: Anodized 6061 aluminium housings and modular plug-and-play components keep installation fast and future maintenance simple.
